Signals are computed once per coin over the full window and sliced at the split date; the OOS simulation starts flat with full warmup history, exactly like an account funded on that day.

Scan the Trend Ignition strategy across every coin

This scan runs Trend Ignition — 20-bar-high breakouts that must also pass an efficiency-ratio and a relative-volume filter — across the whole coin universe with each coin split walk-forward. Because the entry demands conviction on three independent axes (price, path quality, participation), most low-quality pump breakouts never generate a trade, and the surviving ones are scored blind on the out-of-sample segment.

The OOS-ranked table answers the question a buyer actually cares about: when this filter fired historically, did the move continue often enough — across many coins, not one lucky chart — to pay the fees, the slippage and the failed entries?

Frequently asked questions

How is Trend Ignition different from a plain Donchian breakout scan?

A Donchian entry buys every 20-bar-high close. Trend Ignition buys the same breakout only when the efficiency ratio shows the path into the breakout was directional and short-term volume is at least 20% above normal. Same event, but the scanner counts how much the conviction filter improves out-of-sample Sharpe versus the noise it removes.

What should a buyer look for in the scan results?

Two numbers: how many coins stayed profitable out of sample, and whether the median OOS Sharpe stays positive. A filter that only works on a handful of coins is curve-fitting; one that lifts a majority of the universe is capturing a real market behavior — breakouts with volume and directional efficiency tend to continue.
